United Coalition for Motor Club Safety

As a member of this United Coalition for Motor Club Safety, we are proud of the message and mission this Coalition stands for both in the Protecting Towers, Protecting Motorists mantra as well as the Strength in Numbers, Strength in Focus. Ours is a tough job with serious risk to not only the Service/Tow Drivers but to the motoring public who are in need of emergency road service. It is in our DNA to service those customers in need. Sometimes the Motor club's get in the way of this goal be it policy, payment or delivery of such service.

towlocal with Yarbrough Bros Towing

You have probably heard of the "Go Local" coop campaign of independent businesses here in Sonoma County. From Bank Local to Repair Local, GO LOCAL is a network of locally-owned businesses, residents, non-profit organizations, and government agencies working together to build a resilient, thriving, local economy by supporting local, independently owned businesses and promoting sustainable practices. That means that our Sonoma County dollars are spent here in support of Sonoma County residents and businesses.

our performancetowing for road clubs

Good morning Sonoma County Motorists. Recently, a representative from an internet promoting company contacted us here at Yarbough Bros Towing to sell us their services. In particular their services to promote our towing and better our Performance on search engines. One of the topics they stated was to better explain our services on such sites as google, yelp and other review platforms. This representative, sweet as they were, said we did not "do a good job of explaining who our customers were".

Nice looking Tow Truck

This morning a package was delivered to our Tow Yard in Santa Rosa coming from AAA in Emeryville. The package is not the reason for this Blog, nor is it AAA but rather, the condition and appearance of the shipping companies van that they delivered the package in. Trust me, we understand the costs of running a fleet, keeping them looking nice, running good and all that those entail.

Road Service

For those of us commuters who travel the freeway system or highways in Santa Rosa or Sonoma County for that matter, you have seen your fair share of broken down cars. If you have ever broken down on one of those thoroughfares than you can relate to wanting help out there fast. As you know, Yarbrough Bros Towing is an Independent Contractor for a rather large Motor Club. However, that club is only one of probably at least 12 other motor clubs or road service companies nation wide.

Even Tow Trucks some times need a Tow Truck.

As you know, we here at Yarbrough Bros Towing have a Medium Duty Tow Truck here in Santa Rosa Towing pretty busily since 2007. However, it does not only do commercial accounts for contractors, delivery trucks, landscape trucks and trailers, it will often tow other Tow trucks. We have had over the years, the opportunity if you will, to tow on over 24 occasions several other companies tow trucks as well as our own. It is always funny to see the looks on other peoples faces when i drive by in tow with another tow truck. It is unfortunate, but it does happen.

towingsantarosa

As the fair is winding down here in Santa Rosa, Towing has been relentless. Especially going out of town. It seems whenever the fair comes to town, the frequency of out of town tows goes up. Ideally, towing in Santa Rosa would be a local tow, or just towing to the surrounding neighborhoods. Any tow going more than 15 to 20 miles out of the way is a drain on a resources as that equipment is more than likely not coming back with a paying load. Yarbrough Bros Towing often tows to Sebastopol, Windsor, Petaluma, Healdsburg and Cloverdale towing two to three times a day.

Yarbrough Bros Towing thanks Sebastopol Tow

This past weekend ( July 14th & 15th ) the Redwood Chapter of CTTA (the California Tow Truck Association) hosted a level 1 Light Duty training and certification class in Sebastopol. Brian Wallace and his team at Sebastopol Tow again were gracious enough to host the two day class providing a class room and a facility to conduct the roll over and hook up hands on training portion of the lesson as well as hosting a wonderful lunch both days for the whole group. It is not easy and can be inconvenient but Brian pulls it off with out a hiccup.
